Not one but 2 Age of Empires DLC announced for 2025

In 2024, it was announced that following the tremendous success of AOE4's The Sultans Ascend DLC, World's Edge was developing the largest DLC ever in the franchise's history. Now, one month into 2025, we have received some exciting news regarding the details of this awaited expansion. There will not be one massive release but rather 2 separate DLC releases this year, with the first one titled Knights of the Rose and Cross arriving soon in the spring of 2025. Very little information has been shared at the time of writing this article Worlds Edge has confirmed the following information via this post on the Age of Empires website.

New variant civilizations including one that the community has been asking for since Sultans Ascend.
Include new units and buildings as well as updated visuals
New unique game modes for more short repeatable experiences
